Drivers have been doing transportation all year round and must be quite familiar with their cars. However, do you really have a complete understanding of various truck parts and tools? Today I will talk to you about truck parts~

1

What exactly can lubricant do?

In addition to lubricating various friction parts, reducing friction resistance and reducing power consumption, lubricating oil also has the following uses~

Cooling effect: The circulating flow of engine oil can take away the friction heat. Reduce the temperature of the machine parts.

Cleaning function: wash away impurities on the surface of the machine parts and reduce wear.

Sealing effect: Maintaining an oil layer between the piston and the cylinder wall can increase sealing.

What inspections should be made when using tires?

Check the tire wear. If the tire wear is serious, the braking effect will be reduced (the friction with the road surface will be reduced), the braking distance will be lengthened, and it is easy to burst when driving at high speed. Such tires should be replaced in time. Insufficient tire pressure or uneven tire pressure on the left and right sides will also cause time lag in braking effect, difficult or heavy steering, and also reduce the service life of the tires. When the load capacity is large, the above consequences are more serious. Therefore, when the tire pressure is insufficient, it should be inflated in time.

The left and right wheels should use tires of the same specification and model, and the degree of wear should be the same. Otherwise, the steering brake performance of the vehicle will be affected. Check whether the tire contact surface is broken or damaged or whether there are foreign objects (such as nails) on the tread. If there are gravels in the gap between the two rear wheels, remove them in time.

3 Steering system problems

The steering system generally consists of three parts: steering control mechanism, steering gear and steering mechanism. When the steering wheel is turned, the steering shaft and the worm rotate, and the rolling and worm meshes and moves up and down, causing the steering rocker arm to swing and push the straight pull rod to move forward and backward. Therefore, the rotating joint is centered on the steering kingpin and drives one front wheel to deflect to achieve the purpose of controlling the steering of the vehicle.

Composition and working principle of hydraulic braking device

The hydraulic braking device consists of a brake pedal, brake master cylinder, brake wheel cylinder, wheel brake, brake roller, pipeline, etc. When the brake pedal is depressed, the piston pushes the master cylinder forward. The brake fluid in the cylinder generates pressure, and the oil is forced into each brake wheel cylinder through the oil pipe. At this time, the wheel cylinder piston opens outward, pushing the brake shoe to contact the brake drum, producing a braking effect.

5. What are the main items that should be checked while driving?

While driving, drivers should check: Check the working conditions of various instrument panels while driving. Check whether the steering system is working normally. Check whether the hand and foot brakes are functioning properly. Check whether the engine and chassis have any abnormal sounds or smells during operation. Use the parking time (generally the car travels about 50 kilometers) to check the following items: Use your hands to check whether the brake drums of the front and rear wheels are overheated. Check the tires and nut tightening conditions, and remove debris from the tire tread. Check for oil, water and air leaks. Check whether the leaf spring is broken and whether the connecting bolt of the drive shaft is loose. Check the bundling condition of the goods carried, etc.

What are the main items that should be checked and maintained after taking over the truck?

Check and replenish fuel and lubricate oil. Clean the interior and exterior of the vehicle as well as the engine and chassis. In severe winter, if antifreeze is not added to the cooling system, the radiator cover, drain switch, and engine drain switch should be opened to drain all the cooling water and start the engine for a short period of time to drain the water to avoid residue. Vehicles with water-frozen cylinders, radiators, and air brakes should drain the sewage in the air reservoir.

After turning off the engine, close the switch and tighten the handbrake, and check the ammeter for leakage (the pointer points to the "one" side). Check the horn, lights, and wipers. Check whether the leaf spring is broken and whether the spring lifting lugs and riding bolts are loose. Check the half shaft and tire nut to see if the steel ring is damaged or cracked. Check the tires for cracks and deflation.
